The European Circular Economy community will meet for its flagship stakeholder conference on the 1st and the 2nd of March 2022. The 5th edition of the Circular Economy Stakeholder Conference presents the theme "Towards a new normal: sustainable products for sustainable consumption".
The French Presidency of the EU Council is jointly organising the conference with the European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee. The implementation of the Circular Economy Action Plan will be one of the upcoming milestones discussed throughout the conference.
On the first day, the latest policy developments on the circular economy will be addressed. This conference aims to pave the way for future initiatives to make sustainable products the norm.
The second day will be dedicated to participatory workshops that will feature success stories and the question of tackling challenges The main focus will be on the areas of circular cities, retailers and consumers, procurement, food waste and the bioeconomy, textiles, network governance, construction and infrastructure, and economic incentives.
Members of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform Coordination Group will co-organise the second day of the conference.
